    Description

    Thoracic Surgeon
    The Norton Thoracic Institute (NTI) at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is seeking an ABTS BC/BE Thoracic Surgeon.

    The ideal candidate will have broad training, experience and expertise in all aspects of non-cardiac thoracic surgery, including minimally invasive surgical techniques.

    ECMO experience is desirable.
    _Special interest in Lung Transplantation is also favorable but not a prerequisite._ New grads will be considered. The Norton Thoracic Institute is affiliated with Creighton University School of Medicine, Phoenix Campus. An academic appointment is available.


    Requirements:

    • MD or DO degree
    • Successful completion of ACGME approved General Surgery Residency and Thoracic Surgery Fellowship (or an I-6 Tract equivalent)
    • Must have or be eligible for Arizona State medical licensure
    • Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals
    • A passion for providing excellent clinical care in a collaborative team based setting
    • Willing to abide by and promote the values of Common Spirit Health


    The Norton Thoracic Institute ) (NTI) is a premier organization including seven thoracic and esophageal surgeons, partner pulmonologists, and critical care physicians, all dedicated to the highest quality care of patients with thoracic diseases.

    The NTI is a division of Dignity Health/CommonSpirit Health with vibrant practices at St.

    Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center (571 beds) and Chandler Regional Medical Center (470 beds), serving all three regions of the ?Valley of the Sun.? Both hospitals are large not-for-profit referral centers with state-of-the-art facilities, including robotic and minimally invasive surgery, advanced endoscopy, Level 1 Trauma programs, and surgical residency training programs.
