Customs clerk in part-time - Greenville, United States - Velocity Innovations
Description
What to expect?
- Creation of export/shipping documents, certificates of origin, and import documents
- Monitoring of shipping procedures and electronic management documents
- Maintenance of master data for customs-relevant materials in the ERP system, such as customs tariff numbers, countries of origin, dangerous goods, etc.
- Collaboration with consultants and customs offices
- Continuous training in customs expertise and updating of information (e.g. customs regulations, taxes, shipping procedures, etc.)
What should you bring?
Qualifications:
- Completed commercial training (e.g. in the freight forwarding sector, as an industrial clerk in an international company, or as a tax specialist)
- Prior experience in the field of customs is advantageous
- Good written and spoken English skills
Analytical thinking, conscientiousness, diligence, and ability to work independently
