Commonwealth Technology Innovation (CTI), an HII company, is hiring a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) to join our team and help protect our most senstive information.

As a CPSO, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with security regulations and policies, managing security clearances, and implementing security measures to safeguard our company's assets.


In this role, you will work closely with our government clients and internal teams to develop and implement security plans, conduct security briefings and debriefings, and manage security incidents.

You will also be responsible for conducting security assessments and audits, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending solutions to mitigate risks.

The position is on-site, Monday - Friday. The primary office location is in Kingstowne, VA with an alternate worksite in Sterling, VA.


Essential Job Responsibilities
The CPSO primariy responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Serve as the CPSO for multiple TS/SCI programs
  • Conduct periodic reviews to support accreditation compliance
  • Maintain a personnel Program Access Request (PAR) process that includes package preparations, obtaining supporting documentation, routing/tracking the package through the approval process and maintaining a current access database
  • Schedule and attend meetings, briefings and program reviews
  • Provide Annual Training to personnel and maintain training records
  • Facilitate meetings by processing incoming and outgoing visitor access requests (VARs)
  • Maintain access control for the facility and restricted areas by managing visitor signin, badging, and escorting as required
  • Continuously maintain personnel files for all employees, including briefings, training recores, and other applicable files
  • Brief & debrief personnel on any approved programs, file records accordingly, utilize debriefing documents and provide continuous updates to cleared personnel roster to the client

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience
  • 5 years of experience required in program security
  • 4 years of experience with special access programs

Preferred Requirements
Certifications in any of the following Basic Information Security, DoD Personnel Security Adjudicator Course, Marking Classified Information, Derivative Classification Course, and/or Personnel for Customized Adjudication


Physical Requirements
Job performance requires adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the discipline. Office work environment.
