    YOUR ROLE AS A SECURITY GUARD

    As a Security Guard at Butterfield Trail Village in Fayetteville, Arkansas, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our residents, facilities, and service programs. You will act as a first responder alongside nursing staff employees during emergency incidents involving residents, showcasing your quick thinking and dedication to maintaining a safe environment for all. Your vigilant presence will help protect staff, property, and most importantly, the well-being of our residents.     REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS SECURITY GUARD POSITION

    The successful candidate for the Security Guard position at Butterfield Trail Village in Fayetteville, Arkansas, should possess a diverse skill set to excel in the role. Strong communication skills are essential to effectively interact with individuals from various backgrounds and ensure clear and assertive communication during emergencies. The ability to swiftly assess and respond to various emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, and security breaches, is crucial. Critical thinking skills and maintaining situational awareness are vital in making quick and informed decisions to safeguard lives and property.

    Attention to detail, the recognition of suspicious behavior, and the identification of potential threats are also key skills that our ideal candidate should possess to contribute to the safety and security of our community.

    Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

    • Strong ability to communicate clearly and assertively with people from different backgrounds.
    • Demonstrates strong emergency response skills and can swiftly assess emergencies.
    • Quick response to medical emergencies, and other emergencies such as incidents, fire, natural disasters, or security breaches.
    • Ability to act decisively and efficiently is crucial in safeguarding lives and giving a timely response to critical situations
    • Critical thinking and a strong ability to observe and maintain situational awareness is a must-have skill for security officers.
    • Attention to detail, recognizing suspicious behavior, and identifying potential threats.

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES

    • High school or GED, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. first responder, data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Exposure to several elements such as, inclement weather, noise, intermittent standing, walking; and occasional pushing, carrying, or lifting up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and ability to adjust focus.
