The city of Duisburg is looking for a Civil Engineer (Water Management) for the Lower Water Authority at the Office for Building Regulations and Operational Environmental Protection.

In the Office for Building Regulations and Operational Environmental Protection, you can expect responsible and interesting tasks in a motivated and performance-oriented team.


Your main tasks:
Conducting water law permit and approval procedures for discharges into bodies of water and wastewater treatment plants according to the Water Resources Act and State Water Act Monitoring of water use and conducting construction site inspections of wastewater treatment plants as part of general water supervision using the existing specialist application (K3-Environment) with GIS connection Recording of water law processes and fulfilling reporting obligations to the district government Identifying and eliminating hazards as a special regulatory authority under water law (issuing orders, initiating criminal and regulatory proceedings)

Your professional competencies:
Completed university education (Bachelor's or Diploma from a University of Applied Sciences) in the field of Civil Engineering with a focus on urban water management or a related field of study and at least 2 years of relevant professional experience after obtaining the respective qualification In addition, you can also apply with a completed university education (Bachelor's or Diploma from a University of Applied Sciences) in the above-mentioned fields of study if you are interested
