Description
Assist new hires and existing behavior technicians with RBT process as follows:- Provide education and ongoing clinical support in conjunction with BCBAs during training, and as requested
- Provide and assist with any study guides
- Provide study materials, mock exams, and practice tests and coordinate/conduct study sessions as needed
- Maintain the Staff Credentials spreadsheet by keeping up to date information for all staff members on your team
- Create and maintain a system for tracking and storing RBT supervision logs for ongoing certification maintenance.
- Complete competency assessments in conjunction with BCBAs
- Provide constructive feedback to improve clinical and practical ABA skills
- Use clinical judgment to assess additional training needs
- Collaborate with the BCBA to ensure proper training is implemented.
- Learn, implement, and train staff on new client procedures in conjunction with BCBA
- Assess RBT's skills and use clinical judgment to determine if followup with training guide is warranted
- Follow up training on all staff to meet Clinical expectations.
- Direct 1:1 Therapy with Clients as needed
- When a new trainee(s) starts, the new trainee will be paired with an assistant trainer to work on the client's needs (at least first two weeks in the clinic)
- Implementation of plan of care as specified by the BCBA, including new/recurrent procedures and programs.
- Complete documentation, with signature, for all services provided. Ensure that ALL staff complete their documentation with signatures before leaving the clinic each day.
- Measure, prepare, enter, and update all data related to children that are serviced
- Describe and record children's behaviors in measurable terms.
- Assist BCBAs with assessment procedures as needed (when Lead unavailable)
- Implement interventions and differential reinforcement procedures
- Maintain clear lines of communication and professional boundaries, and implement supervisors' feedback to improve professional performance
- Report any concern (e.g., client new behavior, individual staff wellbeing) to lead RBTs and BCBAs
- Using clinical experiences to assist situations in the therapy room
- Understands that there will be constant changes and if any questions or concerns arise, appropriate communication is encouraged to the appropriate person
- Complete office duties, including but not limited to preparing materials, making copies, laminating, cutting, finding copies of stimuli, and preparing group and individual activities
- Collaboration with BCBAs, speech therapists/OTs, fellow RBTs, and other staff as needed
- Meet with BCBAs and Lead Therapists on a monthly to bimonthly basis to remain up to date on all cases and new interventions implemented
- Clean and disinfect commonly used areas and items
- Complete all required documentation according to company guidelines
- Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
