Baylor College of Medicine and Department Summary:
Faculty Clinician is a non-ranked, non-tenure track/non-tenured appointment that applies to Full-time or Part-time physicians and other healthcare providers who are employed by Baylor College of Medicine and practice at an affiliated healthcare location (such as Baylor St. Luke's Medical Group).


Summary:


Work with our Anesthesiology services team to provide high-quality, evidence-based anesthesia and pain care services at all acuity levels, for all patients, and for several different reasons in a variety of settings.

Job Duties:


  • Administers all forms of anesthesia including inhaled, intravenous, neuraxial, and regional, for surgical or medical procedures.
  • Assesses and evaluates patients prior to the administration of anesthesia to formulate anesthetic plan.
  • Inserts and uses invasive and noninvasive monitors, as indicated.
  • Responds to emergency/code situations to provide airway management.
  • Documents anesthetic information and patient condition.
  • Performs other jobrelated duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:


Education:
Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA).


Experience:
None required.


Degree:
Master of Science


Certification:


  • Required: Current Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA)
  • Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. ACLS/PALS card required.
