Fox Pool & Spa Services, is seeking a motivated, dependable, and self driven Field Service Technician to join our swimming pool service team.

The responsibility of a service technician is to travel to customer locations to assist with opening and closing as well as other troubleshooting and maintenance of swimming pools and spas.

Pool service experience not necessary, but a bonus. We are looking for someone who is mechanically and electrically inclined; training provided.


Position Summary:

As a Service Technician you will be responsible for driving to customer locations to assist in servicing and maintaining customers' swimming pools.

As a direct representative of Fox Pool & Spa Services your interactions and communication with customers will be of the highest level of professionalism.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Basic pool service such as pump replacement, salt chlorine cell replacement, pool maintenance, pool openings and closings to include water testing and balancing of chemicals.
• Pool installation, servicing of products for swimming pools and hot tubs.
• Liner installations, cover installations, equipment trouble shooting, pool renovations, etc.
• Assist with hot tub deliveries.
• Pull warehouse items to include store deliveries.
• Data entry within the RB database.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts including entry into the RB data base for products kept on company vehicles.
• Water chemistry testing, vacuuming of the pool and regular maintenance to include backwashing filter, cleaning pump and skimmer basket.
• PVC plumbing repairs and replacement in pool and spa plumbing.
• Complete daily paperwork and reporting service requirements to the Service Center.
• Communicate with team members within the department as well as other departments to complete job assignments within the scheduled amount of time.
• Maintain an excellent attendance and punctuality record.
• Responsible to maintain high level of professionalism and cleanliness at all job sites.
• Responsible to maintain cleanliness of the company vehicle.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Excellent customer service skills
• Previous pool service experience helpful
• Experience with plumbing, electrical and carpentry helpful
• Effective, clear, and professional communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instruction
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced, high stressed environment
• Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently
• Displays the ability to analyze, reason, and problemsolving skills
• Strict adherence to ethical standards
• Ability to work professionally when dealing with both internal and external customers

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to walk on slippery and uneven walking surfaces
• Will be required to climb, lift, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. independently
• Work overtime hours when necessary
• Will work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions
• Active construction site
• Customer private property
• Working around moving machinery/heavy equipment/vehicles
• Fast paced, high stress environment
