- Collaborate with the Business Development Manager on post-bid follow-up for private sector projects.
- Over 5 years of expertise predicting and controlling costs in civil construction projects.
- Make estimates using the HCSS HeavyBid program.
- Set up and conduct bid reviews for all proposals.
- Establish and sustain continuous connections with private sector clients.
- Contact vendors and subcontractors for material costs.
- Clean driving record and the ability to travel to job sites in the Sacramento region.
- Prior experience estimating or managing public and private civil construction projects.
- Experience reading blueprints and details inside designs.
- Understanding and experience in reading soil reports.
- HCSS HeavyBid estimating software.
- Prior to the start date of this position, a background investigation, driving record check, and drug screen must be passed.
- Ability to comprehend multiple standard specifications and details from federal, state, county, city, sewer, and water agencies.

Compensation
Estimator Your Impact to the Company:
You will estimate civil construction projects such as rough grading, finish grading, and wet and dry utilities for projects in Sacramento County and the surrounding counties of Placer, El Dorado, Yolo, Solano, Sutter, and Yuba. You will work from our Sacramento office, which is close to McClellan Air Park. You may visit job sites and attend field meetings on occasion. Additionally:
