Job Summary:


Infinity Protection Services, Inc is seeking a part time DCJS certified Security Instructor to instruct the 8-Hour Pre-Assignment Training, 16-Hour On-the-Job Training, and 8-Hour Annual In-Service Renewal Security Guard programs.

The Security instructor is required to be motivated, a self-starter, excellent in oral and written communication skills, ability to organize and prioritize work flow; able meet deadlines, independently and must have 3 years teaching experience.

This position is ideal for entrepreneur minded individual looking to grow with a small company.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Excellent Technical Skills in the area of teaching is a must:
  • Providing hands-on classroom and virtual instruction.
  • Maintaining and updating course syllabus; assisting in the development of new curricula.
  • Cover all material in depth and scope as described in syllabus.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students.
  • Preparing lesson plans.
  • Evaluating student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
  • Preparing student progress reports and grade reports; maintaining accurate and timely attendance records.
  • Follow the school academic policies at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Prior Law Enforcement or Military Experience Preferred (Must have DD214 W/Honorable Discharge)
  • NYS Security Guard Instructor's certification from NY DCJS
  • Must have at least 3 years security guard training/management experience.
  • Must have a flexible schedule (willing to work nights and weekends)
  • Ability to interact with the public in a direct and professional manner, strong interpersonal skills.
  • Customer Service/Retail Experience a plus
  • Armed Instructor Certification, FSD, EAP, NJ SORA instructor certification are a plus but not a requirement for employment.

Pay:
$35.00 per hour

  • 8 hour shift

  • Training & development: 2 years (required)
  • Security: 3 years (required)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (preferred)
  • Current NY DCJS Instructor Certification (required)
