- Ability to seamlessly transition between front desk responsibilities, assisting as a technician, and supporting as an eyewear stylist
- Ensure that all required patient testing results are accurate and documented appropriately.
- Facilitate communications between patient, doctor, scribe and other interested parties both internally and externally while following HIPAA regulations
- Communicate with pharmacies to ensure patients are able to receive their medications
- Ensure all equipment is operating properly making it easy for patients to receive the necessary care without needing to be rescheduled.
- The team will ensure the proper contact lens samples are on hand and provide the needed information for patients to place their CL orders pushing for annual supply orders.
- Facilitate the completion of refractions and contact lens (CLs) exams
- Facilitate patient medical exams as well as provide back up for other advocates and the scribe; provide patients with doctors recommendations
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, representing our practice with integrity and respect
- Other duties as assigned
- Solid communications skills, both verbal and written
- Mathematically inclined
- Ability to perform under pressure and promptly addressing complaints
- Strong cross-departmental collaboration
- Detail-oriented and punctual
- Strong skills using a computer, Microsoft Office Suite, and typing at least 45 words per minute
- At least 0 to 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting (volunteer work/internships will be considered) or training preferred
- Reliable transportation (travel between work locations required)
- Pay range: $ $20.00 per hour (dependent upon experience)
- 30-35 hours/week including Saturdays

Essential Responsibilities
The Patient Advocate Team Member is made up of three (3) advocates and a case coordinator. Advocates are the liaison for patient care and communication. Provide a thorough explanation of examination and care procedures to the patient. Optimize patient flow throughout the office.

All patients and team members are required to wear a mask, curbside service, and all surface area sanitized and cleaned at regular intervals.
