    Responsibilities & Requirements


    The sleep technician performs baseline and PAP titration sleep studies including baseline polysomnograms, PAP titrations, MSLT and MWTs under the guidance of a registered technician.

    They are able to identify sleep and wake and bill in EPIC and assist with maintaining files and confirming patient appointments as well as other duties as assigned.

    The technician reports to the Clinical Director of the sleep center.

    Preferred Qualifications

    The technologist must be computer literate and able to operate sleep equipment and hospital computers. Basic trouble shooting skills are needed for sleep equipment and sensors. The technologist must be personable and able to work well with patients, other technologists, physicians and co-workers.

    The technologist will be required to take and pass the RPSGT exam within 18 months after start date.
