    Description

    job summary:

    A Manufacturing Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Clayton, NC area.

    This role involves applying engineering principles to optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards, collaborating with procurement teams and suppliers to enhance supply assurance and supplier performance.

    Clayton, North Carolina job type: Contract salary: $ per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Study time, motion, methods, and speed in maintenance, production, etc., to establish standard production rate and enhance efficiency.

    Review worker logs and product processing sheets to ensure adherence to quality assurance specifications.
    Review and approve work assignments based on worker performance, machine capacity, and production schedules.
    Review charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, and material handling.
    Evaluate data and reports to validate or identify deviations from existing standards.
    Recommend modifications to existing quality or production standards for optimal quality within equipment capability.
    Recommend revisions to methods of operation, material handling, or equipment layout to increase production or improve standards.


    Skills:
    Knowledge of production planning, manufacturing engineering, process control, lean manufacturing concepts, capacity planning.
    Excellent communication skills.
    Able to communicate with all levels of an organization.
    Able to promote collaboration with external suppliers.
    Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
    Able to navigate a complex matrix organization.


    Education and Experience:
    Bachelor's degree in engineering required.8-10 years of experience required.
