Description
St.Johns Medical Transport is seeking an experienced Manager/Dispatcher to join our Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) team in a full-time position.
Hired individual will work from home (within driving distance of St. Johns, FL 32259), but may be required to travel locally for marketing and attending meetings.Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming calls for service from transportation brokers, medical facilities and private individuals, scheduling and coordinating vehicle routes accordingly.
- Monitor and adjust transportation schedules in realtime to respond to emergencies, delays, or other issues.
- Participate in hiring and training of drivers as needed.
- Communicate with drivers effectively, ensuring that they understand their assignments and routes.
- Act as the main point of contact between drivers, brokers, medical facilities, and private clients; handle any scheduling issues or conflicts.
- Track vehicles, ensuring all drivers maintain route schedules and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Dispatch and allocate resources based on realtime evaluation of service needs.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports related to dispatch and transportation services.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
- Be responsible for maintaining company inventory and complete purchase orders.
- Handle accounts payable/receivable: invoicing, tracking payments, and resolving discrepancies.
- Conduct monthly financial reports to ensure budget goals are met.
- Review and approve payroll and expenses related to the transportation department.
- Attend meetings and represent company as needed.
- Operate company vehicles as needed, if there is a need to "stepin" for a driver (rarely).
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- At least 1 year of previous experience in a manager role required.
- Must be able to pass a preemployment drug/alcohol screening and criminal background check.
- DOT certification and clean driving record required.
- College degree required.
- Additional trainings will be paid for by the company.

Pay:
$38, $42,000.00 per year
