Description
Gastro Center of Maryland has an opening for a Full-Time Patient Care Coordinator. Must have experience in a fast-paced medical environment.

Must have exceptional customer service skills, excellent communication skills to schedule appointments, attention to detail and possess a good work ethic.

The PCC is responsible for increasing customer satisfaction and retention by providing patients and providers with accurate, consistent, timely and meaningful information.

Description

  • Greets and checkins patients, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, coordinating with healthcare providers
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteousmanner
  • Demonstrate respect, sensitivity and understanding for the caller's circumstance while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance coverage
  • Assist with billing and payment collection
  • Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
  • Experience
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred
  • Experience
working with EHR's

  • Customer focused team player with a passion for helping people.
  • Detailoriented, fast learner with excellent communication skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality of personal health information (PHI)
  • Two (2) years of experience working in a healthcare setting preferred

Pay:
$ $21.00 per hour
