Manufacturing Technician B

Job Location:
Grand Rapids, Michigan

Job Schedule:9/80 (every other Friday off)

2nd Shift

Responsible for troubleshooting, overhaul, and repair of technically complex and sophisticated circuit card assembly, mechanical and electro-mechanical avionics instruments using available documentation; repair manuals, schematic diagrams, technical publications, and engineering drawings.

The individual in this position has the responsibility and the authority to carry out assigned tasks

Essential Functions:

Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.

Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

Qualifications:

Requires developing job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years postSecondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
