    Description

    Jr. Controls Engineer

    Detroit, MI (Hybrid)

    $70,000+

    As an entry-level Controls Engineer, you will be joining one of the largest automotive companies in Metro Detroit supporting next generation plant programs In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage new & emerging projects while joining an experienced team working at the plant floor focused on hardware & software electrical components for the future of plant manufacturing.     Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering related field preferably Electrical or Computer Engineering
    • Familiarity with PLCs (Siemens, etc.)
    • Interest in being in a hands-on plant floor environment
    • Internship or Co-op experience in a related field
    • Nice to have: experience in a manufacturing environment, understanding of ladder logic, experience with HMI

    Responsibilities:

    • Troubleshoot issues with electrical components of the machinery (PLC's, hydraulics, HMI software, etc)
    • Collaborate with other teams and roles across the plant floor to create resolutions and implement them.
    • Interface with vendors/suppliers to identify equipment needs and feasibility
    • Collect/input data and perform root cause analysis
