About Optima

Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist Job Responsibilities:


  • Record patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history
  • Clean and prepare exam rooms prior to/following patient appointments.
  • Able to perform various medical procedures such as EKG, PFT, Ear Lavage etc.
  • Administer injections and take blood draws.
  • Assist with patient scheduling, follow up, and provider charting as needed.
  • Using technical equipment to safely draw blood from patients.
  • Reassuring and calming patients who might be nervous or scared of the procedure.
  • Registering the blood and storing it in the correct environment
  • Sending blood samples to testing laboratories
  • Keeping track of blood samples and results that are returned after testing.
  • Updating patient records
  • Maintaining an organized and clean work area based on health and safety regulations and the guidelines of the medical institution.
  • Answering patient questions regarding collection techniques and offering additional resources on the collection process, if the patient requests them.

Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist Job Qualifications:


  • At least 1 year of clinical work experience as a Medical Assistant & Phlebotomist.
  • At least 1 year of EMR experience; eClinicalWorks preferred.
  • High level of professionalism
  • Strong customer service skills

Pay:
From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:


  • Primary care (Clinic): 1 year (preferred)
  • Medical assistant (Clinic): 1 year (preferred)
Administering Injections: 1 year (preferred)


License/Certification:

  • CPR Certification (preferred)
  • Certified Medical Assistant/Diploma of course completion (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Phoenix, AZ preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Phoenix, AZ 85051: Relocate before starting work (required)
