Description

This role will be located in Elkton, Maryland.

Responsibilities:

Pull and stage raw materials and supplies for manufacturing utilizing power industrial vehicles
Manage material movement to and from manufacturing and warehouse areas
Staging intermediate materials and preparing shipping documentations for deliveries
Develop competence in all related software systems, ERP, MES, Quality
Follow standard operating procedures, safety, and PPE requirements
Utilize proper material handling equipment to load/unload inbound/outbound freight
Provide material handling support to all manufacturing and innovation teams
Follow environmental/safety protocol, and partner with EH&S to ensure compliance
Drive your personal development in partnership with your Leader
Understand and promote the Gore culture

Required Qualifications:

Must have experience or be willing to learn how to operate a forklift, and all other material handling equipment in a processoriented environment
Can bend and lift repetitively (<35 lbs), as required to support the operation
Demonstrated computer system experience, and the ability to learn new systems as required by the business
Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated basic reading and math skills (metric system)
Demonstrated strong organizational skills are required, with a proven ability to anticipate, recognize, and analyze problems and implement appropriate solutions
Demonstrated history of making good product quality decisions
Demonstrated ability to work independently, and as a team member within, and across functions
Flexibility, and the ability to adjust quickly to change, is essential

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with QSI (quality system), Precision (TMS), MES (NEMO) and ERP (E1) a plus
Having a minimum of 1 year logisticswarehouse experience
Experience using Warehouse Power Industrial Equipment is a plus
