This role will be located in Elkton, Maryland.


Responsibilities:


  • Pull and stage raw materials and supplies for manufacturing utilizing power industrial vehicles
  • Manage material movement to and from manufacturing and warehouse areas
  • Staging intermediate materials and preparing shipping documentations for deliveries
  • Develop competence in all related software systems, ERP, MES, Quality
  • Follow standard operating procedures, safety, and PPE requirements
  • Utilize proper material handling equipment to load/unload inbound/outbound freight
  • Provide material handling support to all manufacturing and innovation teams
  • Follow environmental/safety protocol, and partner with EH&S to ensure compliance
  • Drive your personal development in partnership with your Leader
  • Understand and promote the Gore culture

Required Qualifications:


  • Must have experience or be willing to learn how to operate a forklift, and all other material handling equipment in a processoriented environment
  • Can bend and lift repetitively (<35 lbs), as required to support the operation
  • Demonstrated computer system experience, and the ability to learn new systems as required by the business
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated basic reading and math skills (metric system)
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills are required, with a proven ability to anticipate, recognize, and analyze problems and implement appropriate solutions
  • Demonstrated history of making good product quality decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, and as a team member within, and across functions
  • Flexibility, and the ability to adjust quickly to change, is essential

Desired Qualifications:


  • Experience with QSI (quality system), Precision (TMS), MES (NEMO) and ERP (E1) a plus
  • Having a minimum of 1 year logisticswarehouse experience
  • Experience using Warehouse Power Industrial Equipment is a plus
