Job Summary:


The Janitorial Assistant Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Janitorial Supervisor in overseeing and coordinating janitorial operations to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance within assigned facilities.

This role involves providing guidance and support to janitorial staff, monitoring inventory levels, conducting quality inspections, and assisting with scheduling and training.

The Janitorial Assistant Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and ensuring client satisfaction while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.


Responsibilities:


  • Maintains communication with and responds to the requests of department managers, directors, and other client partners
  • Tours and inspects the facility to ensure total quality management requirements in custodial and housekeeping operations
  • Reviews job orders and specifications to understand the material and labor required to complete the project and coordinates the activities of custodial employees to efficiently utilize staff, materials and equipment
  • Maintains compliance with Crystal Clear Cleaning and client's standards of operation, Crystal Clear Cleaning's Business Conduct Policy, and all federal, state, and local regulations. Maintains all records and reports as required by regulations and codes.
  • Understands departmental expenses such as supply need and labor costs to maintain budget conditions
  • Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as equipment inspections and replacing vacuum filters.

  • Perform duties for facilities using provided crystal clear cleaning products, tools, and procedures, and/or product delivery, laundry drop pickup/drop off.
  • Cleaning duties include sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash, windows and cleaning and moving light furniture and equipment etc.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Use proper PPE where required.
  • Opens and locks facilities, enables and disables security systems as required.
  • Will provide on the job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • The ability to be flexible, work at a fastpaced and in a multitasked job is necessary.
  • Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and contribute to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable and on time.
  • Has respect and understanding for coworkers and customers.
  • Training and assisting new team members.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Manager

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 25 years of experience in custodial operation.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
  • Requires knowledge of machinery related to custodial operations.
  • Requires listening, interpersonal, computer and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work well under time constraints.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.


This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.

This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).


Physical Demands and Qualifications:


Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, driving to multiple locations, twisting, reaching overhead, reaching forward.

Must be able to lift and/or carry 25lbs.

  • Ability to read cleaning instructions, navigate city roads.
  • Keep all information about any customers or other employees confidential.
  • Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses
  • Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Adhere to established cleaning schedules and complete tasks in a timely manner

Working schedule:
Monday - Friday ; Rotating Saturdays


Evening Shift: 5:30 pm In-time

Experience Preferred:


  • Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
  • Familiarity with floor care, including buffing and waxing, is a plus
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
