About the Role: The Branch Manager is accountable for overseeing the day-to-day operations of one or more branches, ensuring top-notch customer service, liaising with business partners to provide a comprehensive range of products and services, and guiding the branch team to surpass established goals. Tier 1 branches present enhanced opportunities for business development and growth, with yearly goals for various aspects like deposits, loans, insurance, and trust and investment, being determined based on the potential and visibility within the branch community.

  • Responsibilities:
    • Develop new business and fortify existing relationships through targeted business development calls, networking, and response to referrals; actively pursue cross-sell chances
    • Supervise day-to-day operations; handle scheduling for one or more branches and assigned traveling staff; provide training; ensure staff and branch compliance with set policies
    • Manage, coach, and guide staff to achieve branch goals and meet performance standards; promote continuous improvement for employee career advancement
    • Evaluate and compare department and individual staff performance against expectations and goals; make necessary adaptations to achieve objectives
    • Attain predetermined lending goals as set by Corporate Banking Manager in line with department and company-wide budget objectives
    • Supervise and adhere to regulations concerning branch security, fraud prevention, Bank Secrecy Act, and other governmental rules
    • Deliver presentations to customers, potential customers, and the community as appropriate
    • Actively engage in community events and Company meetings; regularly interact with Regional Board Members

Requirements to Excel in this Role: Besides your professional and personal experiences, along with your enthusiasm and dedication to the field, having the following would be advantageous:

  • Education/Certifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
    • 8 years of experience in banking, financial services, or retail sales
    • Preferred 3 years of supervisory experience
    • Capability to obtain NMLS certification and Signature Guarantee certification
  • Skills/Knowledge:
    • Demonstrated management, supervisory, and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; adept at engaging with customers, colleagues, management, and community influencers
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Strong mathematical and analytical skills; detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Other:
    • Willingness to travel to various branches as required
    • Availability to work on a rotating Saturday schedule
  • Physical Demands:
    • Capability to sit for extended periods and walk/stand for brief periods
    • Ability to repetitively use a telephone and computer peripherals
    • Able to lift/move up to 15 lbs
