Entry Level Architectural Designer. We operate within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home.
Position Summary
As an
Architectural Designer at DLR Group, you will be responsible for developing designs from conception through design development, preparing construction documents, specifications, and team coordination, and supporting the project team through construction administration for a variety of project types and sizes.
- Provide technical design in the conceptual development of project documents.
- Produce accurate documents aligned with firm standards for project assignments.
- Communicate to Project Manager progress of assignments according to the established project schedule and workplan.
- Ensure project information is incorporated into project documents.
- Be able to work and present ideas in a team environment as well as selfmanage and selfmotivate in a creative environment.
- Participate in construction administration, including review of shop drawings and submittals, field bulletins, site visits and quality control.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in
Architecture from an accredited program - 13 years of professional experience documenting and designing mid to large scale projects
- A basic understanding of technical knowledge in architectural drafting and design
- Proficiency with computer modeling and rendering software (Revit preferred)
- Intermediate and demonstrated ability in the use of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Demonstrated ability in the use of Lumion, Enscape, Twinmotion, and other rendering/3D visualization software
Preferred Qualifications
- An interest in sustainable design
- Actively pursuing Architectural Registration
- Knowledge of QA/QC process and building codes
