Areas of Responsibility and Job Requirements:
Processes Section 8 lease renewals in Yardi and sending all documentation to the respective section 8 agencies. Updates lease charges to reflect the new section 8 rent breakdown, and work with Property Managers on HQSs


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Processes all Section 8 lease renewals in Yardi
  • Mails and submits online the renewed leases to the respective section 8 agency
  • Mails out renewed leases copies to tenant's
  • Works with the Property Managers and tenants to renew lease timely
  • Updates lease charges to reflect the new section 8 rent breakdown and adjust tenant's ledger to reflect new breakdown
  • Coordinates with Property Manager to certify HQS repairs
  • Creates HQS memo on the tenant's ledger
  • Follows up with Property Manager to resolve HQS issues with the section 8 agencies before termination of subsidy
  • Handles all section 8 billing inquiries and works with supervisor to resolve inquiries

Minimum Education Requirements:


  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • LIHTC certification, preferred
  • TaCC certification, preferred

Minimum Years of Experience Required:


  • 2+ year of comparable experience

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Knowledge of Excel, MS work and general computer and office skills are required
  • Must have excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with Yardi or similar industry related software is preferred
  • Ability to speak Spanish, preferred

Competencies/Essential Job Functions:

This position consists mainly of light physical work.

The position may require exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

The role involves sitting most of the time.


The incumbent is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned or to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data, reviewing data, view computer screens for extended periods of time, extensive reading, etc.


  • This role frequently requires the incumbent to grasp, engage in repetitive movements with the wrist, hands, and fingers, typing for extended period of time.
  • The role also requires incumbent to talk and hear, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken work and the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make distinctions in sound.
