We are seeking a
Project Estimator for a key energy and utilities client of ours for a Power Plant in Salem, NJ.

The Project Estimator will provide project related estimating services in all field of project construction (civil, mechanical, electrical).

This requires an individual with a strong will to learn estimating practices who brings a good understanding of engineering basics, project management, and construction methods, along with a basic understanding of power plant systems.

Hybrid position which requires on site time 23 days a week in Salem, NJ.
Prepare reliable project cost estimates at various levels of certainty
Review project scope and risks to develop mitigation costs
Evaluate installation and constructability options
Consult with various project team members
Support interface with various vendors

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, civil, mechanical), construction management, or a related technical discipline
5+ years of construction estimating or project management experience
Nuclear power plant experience extremely helpful, or at least utilities/power plant experience
Demonstrated selfstarting skills and ability to work both independently and with a team
Perform field walkdowns for project installation work scope review
Good understanding of project management processes
Ability to prepare cost estimates from basic oneline diagrams and conceptual level engineering design information
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment
Proficiency in estimating software and tools
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
