Job Summary:
Our client in Claycomo, MO is looking for an Applications Engineer General. This is a contract position.
What You Will Do:
Responsible for low voltage electrical system on F150.
Support plant on any Stop ships, campaigns, quality issues.
Lead V18/V19.
LOW VOLTAGE WIRING & EDS COMPONENTS/ELECTRICAL POWER.
Early Claims Binning/re-binning, read claims, contact dealerships on parts, make HOT requests to ship parts to suppliers for root cause evaluation.
Provide part sign-off's to support builds.
Review and sign-off Supplier Request for Engineering Authorization.
Support Plant Material Cost Reduction blitzes.
Chair/support Electrical Variability Reduction Team meetings.
Support First Time Through issue resolution at plant.
Participate in Kansas City based Vehicle Functional Group and Functional Quality Review meetings when on the agenda.
Cooridnate/Support engineering change trials. Use local supplier rep if available.
Support fresh eyes reviews on pre-builds.
Basics:
BSME/BSEE.
Technical ability to remove and replace parts on vehicles.
Position fully onsite.
Preferred:
6 sigma green or black belt trained.
