    The Boeing Company is looking for a Flight Test Instrumentation Systems and Integration Engineer to join our team in Berkeley, MO
    The candidate must be comfortable at coordinating with people from various technical disciplines, test sites, and vendors
    This position is for 1st shift; however, variable shifts including, day, evening, nights and weekends may be required to support program objectives
    Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate, Mid-Level and Senior Level Flight Test Instrumentation Systems and Integration Engineers

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Applies knowledge of aerospace components, systems, and related test equipment, facilities, processes and methods including: Analyze engineering designs to define testing requirements; Prepare test plans, schedules and documentation
    • Design, develop and safely operate test facilities and instrumentation systems
    • Conduct component, sub-system, system and system-of-systems tests
    • Prepare analyze, and report test results to verify and validate design and performance to meet government, regulatory, customer and program compliance requirements
    • Conduct aerospace research and preliminary design; develop and transition test technology
    • Perform metrology services (calibration, certification & maintenance) on all related instruments and equipment
    • Lead others in the design test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements
    • Identify required products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes / technologies
    • Generate electrical schematics using design (e.g
    AutoCAD, UG) and simulation tools (e.g
    PSPICE)


    • Author instrumentation system performance specifications and subsystem interface documentation
    • Develop instrumentation architectural block diagrams
    • Coordinate system fabrication, integration, modification, setup, checkout and teardown
    • Identify test requirements and determines test methods
    • Obtain flight clearances from the customer for installed configurations
    • Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation system, transducer, and test-related problems
    • Analyze, review, and validate test data to ensure flight test instrumentation hardware and software readiness
    • Conduct research in test technologies to improve efficiency and capability
    • Interface with project / program team members, management, and technical staff to define and implement test engineering solutions
    • Train and coaches others
    • Work under consultative direction
    • Use Earned Value Management to define, track, and communicate This position is expected to be 100% onsite
    The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options
    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S
    Security Clearance for which the U.S
    Government requires U.S
    Citizenship
    An interim U.S
    Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S
    Secret Clearance Post-Start is required

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
    Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):


    • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Active U.S
    Security Clearance in the past 24 months


    • This position has responsibility to build and monitor color coded safety analysis displays to support real time test missions
    Candidates are required to be able to accurately differentiate between Red/Orange/Yellow/Green/Blue etc
    colors for safety of flight and safety of test displays during real time flight test missions


    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
    • 3+ years of engineering experience in both integration lab and ground/flight test environments
    • 3+ years of experience with planning, operation and troubleshooting of instrumentation and data acquisition systems
    • 3+ years of experience with instrumentation and/or data acquisition systems
    • 3+ years of experience with precision test and measurement devices
    • 1+ year experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) or something similar
    • 3+ years of experience with flight test, flight operations, or system test

    In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

    Senior (level 4) Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.

    Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.

    PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience)

    Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations
    Summary pay range for associate level: $79,900-$108,100 Summary pay range for mid-level: $95,200-$128,800 Summary pay range for senior level: $113,900-$154,100 Applications for this position will be accepted until May 9th, 2024
