The Program Coordinator is responsible for the collaboration between the Center for Peacemaking and Scaling Wellness in Milwaukee (SWIM). This role provides leadership, strategic vision, and management for the collaboration and oversees day-to-day operations to ensure its success.

This role serves as a visible representative and face of the Center for Peacemaking to Marquette students, faculty, university leaders, and external partners.

Working with the Director of the Center for Peacemaking, other university leaders, and SWIM leaders, this role helps to identify key goals and major priorities, conducts research, and secures and allocates resources.

Responsibilities:

1.

Build and strengthen external relationships to create strategic opportunities to grow and expand the CFP & SWIM collaboration focused on training and research.

Responsibilities include identifying opportunities, cultivating relationships, deciding which external partnerships to pursue, and executing those partnerships.


  • Coordinate and co-lead the trauma and resilience trainings and involve students and faculty in the trainings, research, and evaluation of the collaboration.
  • Develop reports, web presence, and communication materials that tell the story and impact of the CFP & SWIM collaboration.
  • Lead operations at the SWIM Hub including attracting wellness providers, coordinating programming, and establishing operating procedures.
  • Hire, manage, and supervise contractors and student employees to ensure goals and productivity expectations are met on SWIM-related projects.
  • Identify and secure grants and other funding opportunities to sustain the CFP & SWIM collaboration
  • Work with SWIM board to establish and implement a budget including financial projects and forecasting revenue and expenses.
  • Serve as visible representative and face for CFP's internal and external audiences.
  • Guide SWIM research on the impact of trainings and wellness offerings.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Management, Nonprofit leadership Public Service, Business, Psychology, or related field

A minimum of 4 years of related experience

Experience working to achieve organizational objectives and goals and ability to contribute to strategic planning efforts

Ability to solve problems that are undefined and complex using analytical skills and previous experience

Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate, gain support and influence individuals or groups both internally and externally

Self-starter, ability to work independently and take initiative

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Master's degree in Urban Planning, Management, Nonprofit leadership Public Service, Business, Psychology, or related field
