We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our team as an
Inventory Specialist.


An Inventory Specialist's responsibilities include counting and balancing merchandise, making price lists of products in stock by scanning them with a bar code reader/writer.

You will also identify any discrepancies or losses at the end of business operations each week so they can be prevented from happening again.


Ultimately, you will be responsible for tracking all inventory to ensure our company maintains proper inventory levels for products, equipment and supplies as needed.


RESPONSABILITIES

  • Understand & follow all standards, food safety policies & procedures.
  • Assist Warehouse Manager with the daily inventory of all products.
  • Responsible for the review & evaluation of internal control relating to inventory & identify control weaknesses for corrective actions.
  • Coordinate cycle counts to include reconciliation & adjustment processing & report & analyze cyclecounting results.
  • Interface with the Purchasing Department to manage inventory control.
  • Investigate production problems, analyze root causes, & supply solutions from an inventory perspective.
  • Take inventory as required & provide clear indications of "out of stock" or "overstocked" conditions developing.
  • Manage the accuracy of the inventory & log number.
  • Document & maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Work with production, quality, receiving & purchasing to resolve issues & improve the daytoday operation in the factory.
  • Review processed production records for accuracy & resolve any problems timely.
  • Review processed receipts for lot numbers, COA's. & quantity received accuracy.
  • Notify quality manager regarding materials that are approaching the end of their shelf life
  • Request cycle counts daily.
  • Schedule & run two physical inventories per year.
  • Create & maintain bills of materials with the assistance of the quality & purchasing managers.
  • Complete all necessary inventory control reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:


  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5+ years' experience in an inventorybased ERP system, working in a productionbased facility.
  • Proficiency with PC operating system, office support software, including MS Office, Word, Excel, Lotus Notes & Fourth Shift.
  • Highly organized, detail orientated, selfmotivated & able to work with & for other managers.
  • Strong at analyzing data & researching to solve problems
  • Effective communication & people skills are extremely important.
  • Excellent administrative judgment with the ability to multitask & coordinate tasks that support the staff.
  • Strong teamoriented personality that enjoys working in a fast paced, everchanging environment.
  • Think strategically while acting tactically to meet goals.
  • Strong analytic & communication skills, both verbal & written.
  • Talent for introducing innovative administrative systems & programs.
  • Proficient in PC operating systems & office support software, including MS Office
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including Saturdays.

DESIRED:


  • B.A/B.S. from a 4year College or University.
  • Food Manufacturing Supervisory Role a plus

Pay:
$ $35.00 per hour

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
