    Overview:


    As a Tax Professional at AFairchild, LLC, you'll play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our clients' tax obligations.

    You'll utilize your expertise in tax law and regulations to ensure compliance while maximizing tax efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients and handle a variety of tax-related tasks.

    Responsibilities:

    Tax Preparation:
    Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities. Ensure accuracy and compliance with current tax laws and regulations.


    Tax Planning:
    Develop tax strategies and provide proactive advice to minimize clients' tax liabilities. Analyze financial data and identify opportunities for tax savings and optimization.


    Client Consultation:
    Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering guidance on tax-related matters. Address client inquiries, explain complex tax issues, and offer solutions tailored to their needs.


    Research and Analysis:
    Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends. Conduct research and analysis to interpret tax laws and determine their impact on clients. Apply findings to optimize tax strategies and ensure compliance.


    Documentation and Recordkeeping:
    Maintain accurate records of tax-related documents, filings, and correspondence. Ensure proper documentation of tax positions, deductions, and credits claimed on behalf of clients.


    Client Relationships:
    Cultivate strong relationships with clients by delivering exceptional service and demonstrating expertise in tax matters. Identify opportunities to expand services and grow client relationships.


    Collaboration:


    Collaborate with colleagues across departments, including accounting and audit to address complex tax issues and provide comprehensive solutions to clients.

    Experience and Education
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    CPA certification or working toward CPA eligibility is preferred.
    Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in tax compliance and preparation.
    Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

    Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Wolters Kluwer CCH Axcess Tax, Practice, Connect Tax Research, and more) and Microsoft Office Suite.

    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
