- Performs financial analysis of current and prospective processes and practices. Prepares strategic business and financial plans.
- Analyzes potential capital purchases and special projects, and prepares purchasing proposals and requisitions.
- Performs all duties necessary to maintain revenue flow and accuracy for departmental coding and billing.
- Builds information tables, creates table relationships, and accurately maintains databases and trains end-users.
- Maximizes revenue and reimbursement by maintaining accurate and comprehensive billing processes through review of CPT coding and charge master maintenance.
- Ensures that charge codes reflect cost changes of products and procedures.
- Reviews monthly and quarterly performance reports and prepares budget variance reports with explanations and supporting graphs.
- Assists with planning and preparation of departmental operational and capital budgets.
- Assumes responsibility for maintaining Revenue flow. Oversees all facility side billing and coding to accurately capture all procedures and supplies. Reconciles daily department financial log.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.

- Manage the onboarding process of Department of Defense (DOD) physicians, Advance Practice Nurses (CRNA), nurses and medics into the Atrium Health system.
- Ensure DOD medical team members compliance with Atrium Health credentialing requirements.
- Partnering with key stakeholders (Emergency Department, Trauma Surgery, Operating Room) to ensure DOD teammates are part of the department's clinical schedule/rotation.
- Support routine Atrium Health/US Army Resuscitation Team administrative meetings.
- Complete mandatory grant reporting requirements and support any necessary grant applications.
- Provide a monthly score card on key performance metrics for the DOD and Atrium Health to measure encounters for the team.
- In partnership with leadership, help develop an annual report for distribution to key stakeholders in Atrium Health, the Department of Defense and Health and Human Services or designee.
- Management of the Atrium Health- DEA operational medicine program including coordination of external subcontractors, budget management, onboarding of instructors, coordination of equipment and logistics, scheduling, and support of red cap database. This position will work with the Wake Forest Office of Sponsored Programs.
- Provide leadership and oversight to all military teammates operating on the campus.

JOB SUMMARY
Prepares strategic business and financial plans. Performs financial analysis of current and prospective processes and practices. Undertakes capital purchase analysis and prepares project and purchasing proposals. Supports all financial activities of the department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work requires sitting for long periods of time in an office setting and walking, bending, stooping, and standing for long periods of time. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 50 pounds in handling medical equipment and supplies. Fast paced office environment. Travel may be required
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree in Business, Health Administration or Finance preferred. 4-5 years of Professional experience in a similar job managing a department or a complex area in a healthcare setting required. Prior Atrium Health experience and Military background a plus. Previous experience working with Physicians or a highly matrix area is a plus. Ability to support and write grants a plus. Must have intermediate Excel skills with the ability to pull and manipulate data.

Additional Summary
The Military Civilian Partnership Program (MCP), aligned with the Mission Zero Initiative, facilitates a collaborative bridge between military and civilian healthcare systems. This program consists of many specialties ranging from ED Physicians, Trauma Surgeons, Nurses, Special Operation Combat Medics (SOCMS), and Surgical Technologists. Assignments for each active service men and/or woman is on a three-year assignment. The goal of this project is to provide comprehensive trauma training so that when a soldier is deployed, they are more readily equipped with trauma training skills. This project is supported by the Mission Zero Grant, signed into law in 2018, that states that military and civilian healthcare institutions are allowed such innovative training partnerships to promote and enhance trauma readiness skills. All members in this project have a list of key skills and competencies required to meet per their unit (Special Operations Medical Detachment). Those in the program are scheduled in accordance with guidelines outlined in the current Medial Training Agreement between Atrium Health and USASOC
