Mirantis is seeking a Head of Community Strategy Lead to join our team in New Castle, KY As the Open Source Strategy Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our open source strategy both internally and externally.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop an overall open source strategy for Mirantis
  • Establish an open source office within our CTO organization
  • Identify key projects for contribution and create plans for contributing to these projects
  • Ensure highquality contributions are made
  • Actively participate in key committees and subcommittees to influence the open source community
  • Ensure Mirantis is actively involved in the review process of important projects
  • Establish a process for approving contributions before committing to a project
  • Integrate our open source contributions into our lifecycle management solutions to provide unique value and support to our customers
  • Secure additional resources to support the open source office
  • Help build a community of Mirantis advocates
  • Set and track KPIs and goals
  • Implement internal initiatives to encourage and reward contributions
  • Provide community support by creating tutorials and articles
  • Document and analyze community feedback and make suggestions for improvement
  • Attend relevant meetups and community events to represent Mirantis

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • At least 4 years of experience working in open source software environments, preferably with OpenStack, OpenInfra, CNCF, etc.
