Job DescriptionJob DescriptionConnected Systems has a client in the Warwick, RI area with a contract opening for a Safety Engineer. Please note this role can be performed 3-4 days remotely, with 1-2 days onsite in Warwick, RI.
As a Functional Safety Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our products and systems.
Responsibilities:
Conduct functional safety assessments and hazard analysis for products
Interpret and apply safety standards to product development processes.
Prepare FMEDA (Failure Modes, effects, and diagnostic analysis) or FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and other required documentation
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably electrical), Computer Science, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience in functional safety engineering
In-depth knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations (IEC 61508, etc).
Experience with safety analysis tools and methodologies.
