The Pentesting team is part of a new security department in the automotive industry at embitel (part of the Diconium Group, which is 100% owned by CARIAD, the software division of the Volkswagen Group).


We offer all aspects of the security lifecycle - from project management before production (security function/product owner) to functional safety testing and verification, to incident response and penetration testing.


We also develop security-related software tools - for example, for automating security tests - and security software components that run in vehicles.

Our Pentesting team is responsible for pentesting automotive control units and ecosystems within the VW Group, but also has the freedom to conduct pentesting outside of the group.

We are looking for a Head of Penetration Testing to build and develop this external part of the business.


Your responsibilities:


  • Technical and commercially strategic leadership of a newly established Pentesting team (currently 8 employees and growing)
  • Responsible for building the Pentesting business, coordinating Pentesting activities for both internal (VW Group) projects and external contracts
  • Responsible for internal coordination of technical activities within the Pentesting team
  • Building relationships with (potential) customers for Pentesting projects
  • Direct involvement in the team development process for Pentesting, determining the qualification mix and team composition according to project and business requirements
  • Conducting technical interviews with new Pentesters

  • Creation of standardized, platform-based software solutions for security issues that occur
