Now hiring Elementary Classroom Teachers for the 2023/24 School year for Arlington Public Schools (APS), in Arlington, VA, just minutes from Washington, DC

Bilingual (Spanish Language) Elementary Teachers also needed for Spanish Language Immersion schools.

Fulltime Positions with competitive compensation and benefits with the leading school system in Virginia


Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure in
Elementary Education PreK-6 or Early Childhood.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure in Elementary Education PreK
  • Alternative Elementary licensure pathways are available (Must pass the Elementary Praxis to be considered for this).
  • Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education is preferred but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Implements instructional programs that meet the needs, interests and abilities of students using appropriate instructional materials
  • Maintains safe and orderly environment
  • Communicates with parents/guardians
  • Maintains complete and accurate student records
  • Collaborates with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members
  • Monitors and assesses student achievement
  • Attends ongoing professional learning and meetings

EXPERIENCE:


  • Teaching experience in the above mentioned areas
  • Knowledge of best instructional practices
  • Ability to integrate technology
  • Experience in educational and instructional leadership

Pay:
From $55,976.00 per year
