ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
The Regulatory Affairs team monitors activity and advocates before state and federal economic regulators, transmission service providers and regional trade associations in the interest of Invenergy's operating and development assets
.
An intern in this department will
assist
in the development, advocacy, implementation and monitoring of market rules and energy policy as applied to the construction, interconnection, and operation of Invenergy's generation,
transmission
and battery storage portfolio.
Specific responsibilities for an intern include:
Monitor state energy policy initiatives as they pertain to regulatory proceedings in front of state public service commissions
Draft research,
memos
and other materials on energy topics for internal business groups
Special projects to support department goals or initiatives
Analyze how policy issues will
impact
business opportunities and provide updates and strategy recommendations to other internal business groups
Assist
in obtaining regulatory approvals for Invenergy led initiatives and commercial transactions
Assist
in development, advoc
acy and implementation efforts on policy changes that will further the company's competitive position.
Assist
in data collection for market registration, project participation in energy and
capacity
markets
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS
Currently
enrolled in a 4-year
Bachelor's
degree program with an expected graduation date between May 2026 and December 2026.
Majoring i
n
environmental,
economics, or
business-related
degree
with a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS
Interest in the renewable energy or clean energy sector.
Comfortable working in an amorphous environment.
