GENERAL STATEMENT OF POSITION
Under general supervision, the Security Guard promotes and maintains a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, team members and community.
Provides general security in the buildings and surrounding areas of the community according to the established standards and within the assigned areas of responsibility.
As a representative and team member of the company, this position is expected to present oneself in a manner that reflects professionalism and ensures resident satisfaction.
This is a Full-time position. Pay rate for this position is $18.00 to $25.00 per hour.Work Schedule: 12:00AM - 8:00AM
Work Duties
- Ensures that the community and grounds are secure by monitoring surveillance equipment;
- Patrol halls and grounds of community on a regular basis throughout shift according to standard procedure in order to detect unauthorized activities;
- Check parked cars to assure valid authorization is present and visible.
- Check exit doors for compliance with locking procedures.
- Maintains radio contact with the front desk throughout the shift and provides assistance as required.
- Respond to emergency radio according to procedure.
- Attends inservice training workshops and meetings as required.
- Conducts work tasks safely and in compliance with the community safety program.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience/Training
- Prior security guard experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Guard card preferred.
