Description
A well established medical center seeking a certified medical assistant to provide clinical office support to physicians and performs patient care.
ESSENTIAL DUTUIES
Daily responsibilities may include and are not limited to:
Interview patients; document vital signs
Greet patients, show them to treatment rooms
Collect lab specimen and send to lab according to protocol
Follow up on missing specimens results
Assist physician with procedures
Prepare treatment rooms, stock supplies and keep area clean
Prepare and administer medications as directed by physician
Collect blood, tissue or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens and prepare them for testing
Help physicians examine and treat patients, handing them instruments and materials or performing such tasks as giving injections and removing sutures
Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies. Appropriately handle Biohazard waste as instructed by OSHA
WORK EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Must have worked few years in pediatrics
English / Must speak Spanish
Computer Proficiency
Phlebotomy experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma
Certificate from Medical Assistant Training Program
CPR
