Summary:

Performs a variety of duties related to the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of terminals and associated peripherals down to component and board level under general supervision.

This position is also responsible for supporting field service technicians by distributing parts, tools, and general inventory as well as organization of the warehouse environment and resources.


Responsibilities:


  • Tests point of sale and communications equipment to determine the cause of failure.
  • Aids with field service activities, including but not related to service calls and installations, as required.
  • Interfaces with lottery and retail customers as required.
  • Updates repair and inventory database.
  • Inspects point of sale equipment for damage.
  • Screen parts returned from vendors and repair centers for quality assurance.
  • Cleans interior/exterior of pointofsale equipment as required.
  • Assists in maintaining an adequate supply of spare parts, subassemblies, and complete terminal repairs as required.
  • Interfaces with various client services departments as needed.
  • Operates forklift equipment.
  • Occasional operation of 24' box truck for installation of selfservice equipment to retailer locations.
  • In charge of transportation of equipment from warehouse to warehouse.
  • Performs data entry and general administrative duties.
  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Assists in the upkeep of warehouse equipment and tools.
  • Performs general cleaning and maintains the organization of the warehouse environment.

Qualifications:


Minimum Education

  • High school degree or GED equivalent required.

Years Experience

  • One or more years of related work experience
  • Experience working with electronics and electromechanical devices required.
  • Experience working with communications and IP based technology preferred.
  • Ability to work independently. Selfmotivated.
  • Exemplary customer service skills
  • Strong mechanical reasoning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships and collaborate with others and the ability to maintain professionalism in his/her interactions with others.
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, staying focused and perform well under pressure.
  • Good judgment and strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • The incumbent must possess a valid driver's license, have a good driving record, and demonstrate the ability to correctly perceive colors (required for troubleshooting).
  • Physical (% time: travel, operating machinery, environmental etc.)
  • Travel: Minimal travel required. Occasional assistance in the field as determined by site needs.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to climb a ladder, and lift and carry equipment weighing up to fifty (50) pounds for a significant distance. Must be able to demonstrate dexterity when working with tools, moving parts, and electrical current.
