RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Position Summary:

This is an entry level research position responsible for data entry, study recruitment, and learning to conduct a variety of assessments with people with autism, other developmental disorders, and typically developing individuals.

In this position, individuals will learn a variety of skills necessary to become a research coordinator. Responsible for ensuring that all critical tasks are completed with high quality and in a timely manner.


Your Role at SARRC

  • Maintains consistent alignment with SARRC mission of advancing research and providing a lifetime of support for individuals with autism while putting our clients and their family members first on a dayin and dayout basis.
  • Maintains focus upon work duties and results as well as client services needs without unnecessary distraction by administrative, nonwork responsibility and nonclient service activities.
  • Complies fully with all medical records and information privacy regulations, local, state, and federal.
  • Exercises critical thinking, sound judgment, and timely completion of all tasks
  • Demonstrates ability to regularly change priorities to accomplish all critical tasks and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, to ensure understanding by all individuals.
  • Develops a working knowledge of active study protocols, with specific attention to inclusion and exclusion criteria
  • Discusses study protocols with clients and/or their representatives.
  • Recruits research participants for a variety of research studies through a variety of methods (i.e., phone calls, mailings, social media, or participate in community outreach activities.
  • Schedules client research visits and procedures consistent with research protocol requirements.
  • May need to communicate with regulatory agencies, research sponsors and external vendors.
  • Learns to administer a variety of structured assessments for research and diagnostic purposes.
  • Accurately enters research data and assessment results into databases and maintains research records.
  • May perform a widerange of duties within a specific study under the supervision of more experienced staff.
  • Refers questions and requests on topics not known to senior level research staff or other research staff members.
  • Continuously develops research skills through daytoday responsibilities and experiences with various research professionals and clients.
  • As needed, confirms authority limitations and work responsibilities/methods with supervisor.
  • Performs diverse administrative and clerical duties as needed.
  • Performs other special projects and duties as necessary and requested.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's Degree in psychology or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in the research field (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to relate to and work with diverse backgrounds, human capabilities and limitations, and cultures.
  • Interest in service to individuals with specialized and occasionally complex needs.

Salary
Starting at $14.75/hr
