Location: Coos Bay, OR
Shift Type: Days
Shift Times: 12 hours/day; 36 hours/week
Type: Permanent
Salary Range: $ $32.00 an hour (Pay Dependent on Experience/Licenses)
Sign On Bonus: $10,000.00
Relocation Assistance: Yes
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technologist assists the physician performing a surgical procedure by establishing and maintaining a sterile field in the operating room, setting up equipment, scrubbing in, handing instruments and supplies to surgeon. Assists the surgical team by preparing patient for transport out of the operating room and cleaning the operating room.
Job Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
Functions appropriately in a crisis/emergency situation
Ability to read, write legibly, and converse effectively in the English language
Required Skills and Experience
National Certification as a Surgical Technician
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred Skills and Experience
Recent (within past 2 years) experience in acute hospital operating room preferred
Certification and State Licensure Requirements
State of Oregon License
BLS (AHA)
