THE POSITION:

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
- Acting as the main Protective Service Care Manager for older adults, which involves receiving reports of need for protective services, investigating reports received, assessing the needs of protective services consumers, developing, and coordinating the implementation of service plans for protective services consumers. Protective service involves activities, resources, and supports provided to older adults to detect, prevent, reduce, or eliminate abuse, neglect, exploitation, and abandonment. After being state certified to perform protective service investigations, this Care Manager will also be taking protective service referrals after normal working hours on an oncall basis, during hours that are designated by the supervisor.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday
- Friday, with a 30minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program;
or: - Six months as an Aging Care Manager 1 or a County Caseworker 1;
or: - Six months of professional human services or nursing experience; and a bachelor's degree in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services, or a closely related field;
or: - An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
