- Conduct watershed and storm water management planning and design
- Perform roadway drainage design and culvert hydraulic analysis
- Perform floodplain studies and prepare FEMA LOMC applications
- Act as a technical mentor to entry-level engineers
- Ability to work under AutoCAD and ArcGIS platforms
- Perform other duties as required
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer license preferred
- A minimum of 8 years water resources engineering experience
- Experience in watershed and storm water management, design of stormwater quantity and quality control measures, surface water hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, drainage design, erosion and sediment control design, and watershed/waterway modeling
- Understanding of hydrologic & hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HY-8, TR-20, SWMM, and PondPack
- AutoCAD and ArcGIS experience.

Dewberry is seeking a motivated Water Resources Engineer for the Water Resources group within our Charlotte or Raleigh, NC office. This position offers great potential for professional growth in a fantastic working environment and the opportunity to apply innovative design methods to water resource projects. Typical projects involve stormwater management design, stream restoration / natural channel design, dam safety engineering, storm drainage design, floodplain management and analysis, and other watershed planning projects. Our North Carolina Water Resources group serves a wide range of municipal, state, federal and private sector clients.
