Compensation - Student Teacher Supervision


12 weeks, 4 on-site visits

$600 per student

  • Supervising student teachers on site in schools on an asneeded basis
  • Maintaining written records of the assigned student teacher's progress
  • Ability to Travel to specified site locations
  • Assigning midterm and final student teaching grades, in collaboration with the cooperating teacher
  • Providing student teacher with resources to assist with continued development and growth
  • Ensuring weekly contact with student teachers and cooperating teachers
  • Developing and implementing support plans, in conjunction with University personnel, as warranted
  • Attending meetings with University personnel as scheduled

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:


  • Master's degree or higher in an Educational field OR Master's degree in any area with 18 graduate level credits focused in Education
  • Must have a minimum Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in P12 environment, 3 years current applicable classroom, administrative, or preservice educator preparation experience.
  • Current P12 professional certification/licensure (teacher or administrator)

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:


  • Degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.
  • NOTE: A license that has been revoked or suspended will not be acceptable for this requirement.
  • Minimum 3 years of previous experience observing and evaluating teachers in department/grade level chair, school administrator, instructional coach, district or department directors with evaluation responsibilities
  • Acceptable professional positions can include are not limited to: Classroom Teacher in a P12 environment, Curriculum/Program Developers or Specialists, Principal, Assistant Principal, Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or a UOPX College of Education Administrator.
  • CURRENCY: Extended through: 1) Student Teacher Supervisor experience for P 12 student populations, or 2) Teaching for faculty with a Doctorate or Master's in education.
  • Additional experience or academic preparation may be required, as identified by states or Local Education Agencies (LEA).
