**COVID-19 Procedures:

On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however training/tasking may require occasional on-site work.

Essential Functions:
Design, develop, and deploy relational and multidimensional databases:

In both on-premise and cloud environments

On multiple platforms – SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, NoSQL

Using traditional and modern constructs including RDBMS; data warehousing concepts; MDBS models; AI and machine learning database deployments

Develop and manage effective deployment and migration strategies for software and application data through the deployment process (i.e. development, testing, staging and production environments)

Package subsets of data into microservices and assist with implementing API management tools for transferring data

Assist with modernizing legacy applications to a cloud environment

Work with applications and data in a containerized environment

Other duties as assigned or required


Qualifications and Experience:

Required:
Experience providing database and/or web applications development support required


Desired:
Agile software development experience highly desired

AWS Native Services, OpenShift, Docker and Kubernetes, and/or Microservice experience highly desired

Working knowledge of DevOps support processes and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) experience a plus


Security Clearance:
Active secret clearance required. Interim secret clearance acceptable to start. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.


Education:

BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.
