Description

Technical Underwriting - The position requires underwriting expertise in some areas of insurance and that the individual be a quick study on areas outside of their primary area.

Teamwork
This individual should be a strong team player able to work with people both on the filing team and in other departments. They will need to be able to create an atmosphere of assistance and cooperation with other teams.

Analysis

This person must be able to organize data and analyze it to identify filing needs and express filing approvals effective to Underwriting Technology. The person must be a skillful business writer, able to organize their thoughts, write concisely and persuasively.

Organization

The individual will be well organized and a selfstarter. They will be effective at working independently.

Presentation Skills

Be able to effectively communicate filing needs to interested parties. Be able to effectively present their findings in a small meeting with leadership or in a seminar setting with a larger group, as required.

Continuing Education

Expand insurance knowledge by studying for and taking insurance courses internally and externally to improve both professional and personal development.
