    Job DescriptionNSF is looking to add an Preparations Manager II, Analytical Labs to our growing team.

    This job involves the management and coordination of people and instrumentation to keep preparation and analytical work smoothly flowing through several lab areas.

    This role will focus on management of laboratory production on a newly created Tuesday-Saturday shift. We're looking for candidates that have the ability to work Tuesday-Saturday (7:00am to 3:30pm). The Manager II, weekend shift qualifies for a 5% shift premium.
    ResponsibilitiesTrain, develop, motivate, and evaluate a competent workforce in cooperation with the management team.
    Overall responsibility to ensure that production targets and turnaround time goals are met.
    Ensure that the team meets safety, quality, and cost control objectives. Coordinate resources between groups. Provide technical oversight and help with troubleshooting/problem resolution as appropriate. Fiscal oversight for the area with input into laboratory budgets.
    Oversee communications with other shifts.
    Responsibility for overall lab site safety monitoring. Perform other duties as requested.#LI-DNIQualificationsBS/BA in a directly related science field or an equivalent combination of experience and coursework. 5 to 10 years of related experience in an analytical testing laboratory. 2+ years of direct experience with preparation methods and techniques. Demonstrated management skills in a laboratory environment. Knowledge of standard lab procedures and instrumentation. Able to work well in a production team environment with strong organizational skills.
    Consistent attention to detail and verbal/written communication skills.
