Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational activities for residents in a nursing home or assisted living facility.
• Coordinate and manage the daily schedule of activities for residents.
• Provide support and assistance to residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
• Plan and execute special events, outings, and social gatherings for residents.
• Collaborate with other staff members to create a stimulating and engaging environment for residents.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Assist with documentation and record keeping related to resident participation in recreational activities.

Skills:

• Experience in event planning and coordination.
• Knowledge of senior care and aging issues.
• Familiarity with memory care and dementia care practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of residents, families, and staff members.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Compassionate and patient approach when working with older adults.
• Understanding of social work principles and practices.
