Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Clover or Toast.
- Prepare and assemble food items efficiently, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Serve food promptly while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and providing change.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including bussing tables and sanitizing workstations regularly.
- Support kitchen staff by assisting with basic food preparation tasks when needed.
- Ensure compliance with food handling regulations and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to deliver quick, friendly service without sacrificing quality.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or retail environments; familiarity with quick service & fast food restaurant operations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Clover for efficient order processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest satisfaction.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience in culinary tasks or kitchen experience is a plus for supporting food preparation efforts.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks during peak hours smoothly.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance sales performance.
- Basic understanding of serving techniques, bussing procedures, and restaurant etiquette.
