Overview:


This role is responsible for managing both the day-to-day operations and the holistic visitor experience of the Steampunk _Design Intelligence_ Studio in Tyson's Corner, Virginia.

The
Studio Experience Manager is critical for ensuring seamless communications and experiences for clients, project teams, and internal Steampunk employees.

The Studio Manager must be resourceful and can proactively solve problems while making decisions independently, as well as manage multiple and competing deadlines.

Flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and a "can do" attitude is required.


Contributions:

  • Develop relationships within Steampunk to understand stakeholder and customer needs
  • Partner with the Prod Squad, CTO organization, Portfolio Leads, Sales, Marketing, and Program Managers to ensure a smooth execution of client visits, facilitated sessions, and team collaboration sessions including maintaining studio spaces (workspaces, scrum team rooms, conference rooms and kitchen/patio) and ensuring they are clean, organized, fully stocked, and optimally prepared every day
  • Coordinating with the HQ Office Manager to ensure all materials and supplies are ordered, available, and kept up to date
  • Coordinating with the HQ Office Manager to ensure participant meeting needs are met
  • Work with teams for events or meetings that will need meals, snacks, and entertainment
  • Ensure that spaces are set up and ready prior to sessions and events taking place
  • Accurately and efficiently communicate with Steampunk team members regarding studio commitments, deadlines, challenges, requests, etc. including managing the scheduling of all studio spaces and monitoring our scheduling app to ensure there are no timing or priority conflicts
  • Regularly assessing areas of friction within the studio experience and developing creative ways to improve and alleviate
  • Maintaining internal communication through Slack channels to creatively communicate and promote studio activity and events
  • Support various afterhours corporate, client, employee and community activities and events on an as needed basis
  • Assist the Marketing team with ordering and distributing company promotional items from the studio
  • Produce digital content to promote the Design Studio internally
  • Engage with employees and serve as the producer of videos sharing employee experience from the studio
  • Promote event from the studio on social media to gain engagement.
  • Create internal content focusing on the studio

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with scheduling and event planning
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary groups and excellent customer service skills
  • A collaborative nature with excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Experience working in Microsoft Office
  • Exposure to, experience with, and/or understanding of Experience Design, Design Thinking, and facilitated meetings a plus
  • Must be local to DMV area
