    Fantastic opportunity for an outgoing and career-minded Recruiting Specialist to support our growing organization Since 1994, our veteran-owned company has been providing relocation and storage services to Washington, DC's elite clientele, transitioning DoD personnel, international corporations, and residential customers. Given our team's strong work ethic, high standards, industry reputation, and multiple locations, we are seeking a Recruiting Specialist with similar attributes to help uphold our high standards and to facilitate continued growth.

    As an award-winning and service-oriented business in the transportation sector, our Recruiting Specialist role requires a heavy emphasis on sourcing quality laborers and qualified drivers (CDL & Non-CDL) who possess excellent customer service skills. Therefore, prior experience recruiting "blue collar" workers and/or CDL Drivers is HIGHLY PREFERRED In this role, there are exceptional professional development and promotional opportunities for a motivated individual to grow with our award-winning team. Primary responsibilities for the Recruiting Specialist role include, but are not limited to, the following:

    · Creates and posts employment ads to various recruiting sources, manages candidate pipeline, and contacts applicants to conduct pre-screens

    · Schedules interviews, greets candidates, assists with managing the employment application process, verifies applications are complete, and reviews required employment identification

    · Invites selected candidates to attend scheduled New Hire Orientation/Training classes and facilitates receipt of all required completed documents

    · Organizes, creates, and maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements; obtains and tracks required paperwork from new hires for completeness, scans and attaches documents to the electronic record and securely files hardcopies in alphabetical order

    · Assists with disseminating information (such as meeting or schedule changes) to applicants, employees, and/or subcontractors

    · Maintains recruiting materials, application supplies, new hire employment packages, and other required HR forms

    · Attends meetings, takes thorough notes, and helps to maintain up-to-date entries concerning time and attendance, payroll, training, counseling, disciplinary action, and other employment-related records

    · Performs background checks, runs motor vehicle reports, checks references, and conducts other related activities necessary to qualify applicants for employment

    · Attends various events, such as recruiting fairs, and proactively engages with others to positively promote the organization

    Minimum qualifications:

    · Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources (or similar business-related field) or equivalent combination of education and work experience performing tasks similar to those described above

    · Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with employment law/regulations pertaining to FLSA, FMLA, EEOC, and the like

    · Possess a high level of discretion necessary for handling sensitive situations and confidential information

    · Maintains a professional demeanor with appropriate presence and tact to suitably represent the company in various environments

    · Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

    · Excellent communication skills (both verbally and in writing) using the English language

    In addition to the minimum qualifications specified, the desired candidate will possess strong computer skills and work well independently while collaborating with others to achieve organizational goals.
